Lex was not shocked at the sight of the clothes. His luck was always coming through, always. He knew without measuring, that the garments would fit perfectly. He stepped up to them and pulled off his cloak, spreading it out on the ground. He began to pile his belongings onto the fabric, his mask, gloves, the collapsible bow. Then he pulled his tunic up over his head, without a thought of modesty. His seemingly sleight build, was surprisingly well muscled. Rather than the large, bulging muscles of a broader man, Lex had tightly woven muscles carved of his flesh. He was slender and graceful, with an underlying strength born of hard work, and a rough life. Scars from several whippings as a boy, latticed his back.
He pulled the servants shirtsleeves from the line, donned them and buttoned quickly. The vest with Maya's house crest on it came down next, and Lex pulled it on without checking the fit. As he knew it would be, the vest was the perfect size. His hunter's greaves would not do either, so he he kicked off his boots and pulled off his pants, again without thoughts of modesty, and tossed them in the pile of his things. The shirt and vest covered to his mid thigh anyway, but it would have mattered little to Lex. The man had no shame. The fine trousers hanging from the line slid on without effort, and he tucked the shirt into them. It took him a moment to lace them, as he preferred pants with clasps, and then he readjusted his sword belt to fit over the vest. He retrieved his magic quiver, and slung his longbow across his back. To Lex it seemed odd that a servant would carry a sword and a bow, but as long as it made Maya happy he wouldn't complain. He didn't enjoy her tantrums.
He hung his gold purse from his hip and then rolled his cloak, with all his things in it. A last wiggle of his bare toes before he slipped them back into his soft leather boots, and he was ready. He tucked the bundle behind a bush. He knew it was not the best hiding place, but he was confident his luck would hold out. Hopefully he wouldn't have to draw his bow, since he was leaving the small one behind. Heart Finder would kill his target without effort, but that was not always what he desired. He'd have to rely on swordplay if he must fight.
Lex turned to Maya now that he was finished, and he stood in his best servants pose. "Do I look the part m'lady?"
