"Ah, and what have you got there?"
Cailan quickly glanced at the stack of books she held in her arms. He skimmed through the etchings along the covers, but recognized the majority of the reference material immediately. One specific piece was written by a colleague who was often at sea, analyzing the alchemical aspects of ingredients in the sea. The others were common books used by novice to intermediate alchemists alike.
One book, however, he did not recognize. The pages were quite worn, a seemingly ancient book. The cover was a deep purple in color, with the material appearing to be a scaley type of leather.
"Can I see that?" Cailan said as he pointed at the peculiar book.
