The palace's limestone shined against the sun, mirroring it's intensity, blinding energy and beauty. The guards stationed in the front were quick to bow and guide the merchant princess and her champion slave inside, where they wasted little time in presenting them into the throne room of the Shah herself. She was present, sitting there and looking every bit like a statue, her crown sitting high upon her head with the iconic snake and wings of the goddess she represented. Her body had been painted in a similar fashion, and her clothing, gold and glittering sheer. And the moment the two approached her, Evelyn wasted no time in getting to her knees.
"Your grace."
And Persea nodded to her, and looked from merchant princess to slave.
"I trust your journey was amicable?"
Evelyn nodded.
"Yes, it was a beautiful ride and I thank you for asking and can only feel humbled by your presence and invitation for us to be within your sacred palace."
"Yes... not everyone is allowed within these walls," the Shah agreed. "But come, both of you rise," she went on, stepping up from her throne and using both hands to motion for them to stand.
"You are here as guests. You and your slave, who has saved my life, will be recognized for such deeds."
