Pyr managed a look that seemed somewhat embarrassed, though as usual it seemed he wasn't quite accustomed to the intricacies of human facial expressions and so it was quite subtle. He stood in one fluid motion, easily taking Kyran with him, at least until he was able to place his kin down on his own two feet. He then took to brushing the other demon off gently, not particularly having any concern for his own dust-covered self. His back was likely bruised, with a few cuts here and there from the sheer force of the falling wall, but they were already healing - either way, Kyran was facing the wrong side of Pyr at the moment to take stock of the light injuries.

"It was a good kiss, not the reason although. You are healthy?"
He paused, as if considering his sentence.
"Unhurt?"
The partial correction came in the same even keel manner as the rest of his words. He bowed slightly at the waist, a sign of apology. His usual odd combination while speaking Common was still very apparent, despite his attempts at getting it right.
"Misfortune is mine. I have apologies, putting you in danger."

Kyran had to admit, it wasn't everyday he got manhandled. It was an interesting feeling, being picked up like he weighed nothing; no one had been able to do that to him since he was a child. It certainly gave him a new appreciation for this demon's power.

Feet back on the ground, Kyran let Pyr fuss over him, still rather stunned by what had just happened. One minute they'd been kissing and the next? Boom! Now that some of the shock and humor was wearing off, he was starting to feel a little concerned.

He brushed off the front of his tunic and gave himself a quick once over before he answered Pyr's question. "Yeah, I'm fine! A little...startled, but okay! Uh, what about you? You kinda took the brunt of that..." And yet he looked totally alright and not the slightest bit disturbed by what had just happened.

His apology was even weirder.

"...Does this happen a lot or something?"

Once his concern was satisfied, he recalled a few previous...incidents. Generally, if he waited around the site of the destruction, the denizens who appeared were always less than pleased with him. He'd even once been taken to an underground room made out of stone and been chained to a wall. He'd been under the impression it was a form of punishment, but spending so much time there had ended in the room's ceiling collapsing and taking half the building above it down. He'd dug out quietly and then simply left, feeling it best not to bring any more misfortune to that particular area.

Trying to learn from these lessons, he came to the conclusion that leaving now would be the appropriate decision.
"Yes, I have no damages."
He replied with a bow of his head, before he gently began to lead Kyran back out through the hole in the wall. His pace wasn't exactly hurried, but it was obvious he meant to leave the location sooner rather than later. His kin's next question was a good one, and he let out a soft sigh through his noise while his face remained neutral.
"Correct."

Kyran followed Pyr out of there eagerly. Now that he was assured that neither of them were hurt, and now that the shock of the situation was wearing off (that had killed his libido faster than a dip in a cold lake!), he saw the wisdom in that decision. People would be attracted to the noise, and the people inside the building were already upset and coming out to investigate.

Time to skedaddle, and fast, before people could catch them and ask questions!

Kyran kept his head down as they came out the other side, and then it was his turn to grab Pyr and steer him toward the milling crowds out on the street. They could lose themselves easily there--maybe.

"Duck your head," he whispered to Pyr, because his sheer height would give them away! He kept them moving, though, and didn't slow until he felt they were far enough away that no one would be interested in pursuing them. Only then did he speak to Pyr in anything above a whisper.

"Soooo...is there a reason that happens a lot or...?"

Though he had initiated their 'escape', he was more than willing to be led by his companion, whom he correctly assumed had much more knowledge of how to react topside. He noticed Kyran's hunched form, and wondered if that was the correct posture to assume when leaving the site of self-caused destruction.
The command to 'duck his head' was only carried out due to his observations, for he honestly did not know what a type of water fowl had to do with his head.

In the end, Pyr managed to stoop down low enough that he was not striding a full head taller than everyone around him, though in this position he was quite glad for Kyran's help navigating the masses. He had never been particularly good at it, often bumping and brushing into people, and in a few instances toppling them right over!

The question was one he expected, and he tilted his head slightly in his still-stooped position to get a better glance at Kyran.
"Yes. It is a...curse that is mine."
There was a distinct finality to his words, hinting that he might not be expanding upon that point any time soon. It was just as well, as he was not entirely sure himself as to why such things seemed triggered by his presence. Perhaps it was his brothers below, or perhaps it was this realm attempting to reject him entirely.

"Ouch. Some curse," Kyran said, and came to a stop beneath a tavern's overhang, safely out of the throng of people now. He reached up and picked a few stray splinters from his hair and brushed more dust from his shoulders.

"I guess it's a demon thing, though. Curses, I mean. Uh, you don't happen to have a way of conveniently predicting when that stuff happens, do you? 'Cause I imagine that's pretty...inconvenient."

Like, you know, ruining sexy times. Siiiiiigh.
