Now the bird like man's just listened to the other man. The longer he looked into the darkness the more his eyes glowed in the dark as they adjusted.

" It can be gift . flight can be very much useful. " Cass said softly. Then he heard the rest of what the man said.

He didn't really consider the man to be rude. There was a lot to take in at once. He had been around far worse then this man before.

" Me Cass take no offense. That sounds nice to Cass. Always up for getting to know others a bit. " Cass said with a nod.

Something told.him though to still be careful. So with that in mind he shifted back to his human like form.

He had the face feathers and wings of a bird. He even had claws on his hands. The rest was human like.

After changing to his true form he careful entered the cave. Now he had tho fold his wings so that they didn't get caught on anything.

He sat to where he was at a comfortable distance from the other. He just wasn't sure what it was but something was off about this odd fellow.

The shadowy creature just watched the girl. He heard her say that she wanted to go home. Now that was something he couldn't understand. Humans had a concept that they had family friends and all of that. However where he came from was a place of violence and hatred. So he had never experienced something like a home that cared.

As he was going over this in his mind he just sighed. " Why not just go back to your home then . Or are you a stray that doesn't have a home to go to.?" Phears stated softly. He was just unsure about leaving her alone in the woods at night. Though he wasn't going to be a bother to her either.

The winged woman was now perched on the leadge . She was watching the man as he made his way up to where she was. Now normally she would have offered to help. However she got the feeling that this man would not need it.

That was until she saw him slip. And she could hear the other creature getting closer to them. Then she saw it.comming. It was time to offer some help to the man.

So she flew down to where he was hanging. She knew she needed to hurry up and get him to safety.


" Here let me help you get the rest of the way up . " She said as she flew beside the man. She was close enough to where she could get a hold of him if he accepted her offer.

" Just grab on to me and I will fly us to safety." She said now. She knew that they didn't have enough time to argue about it right now. So she hoped he would take her offer.

Cass made his way closer to the entrance of the cave. He knew that he could be in danger. But for now the other male inside the cave did not seem hostile yet. No he seemed like he was curious just like Cass was. Though the bird like creature knew that looks and sounds could be very deceiving.

Now Cass heard what the other said . Cass was not really trying to deceive the man. He just didn't want to startle him too much. Though if he thought about it a talking bird might seem to be more startling then a bird like creature.

He was quite for a moment as he tried to think of how to explain why he hid what he was.

" Me Cass no disappear. Me just in bird form. Me true form can be startling to some." Cass said now. He wasn't sure how else to explain why he wasn't in a human form.

He was now at the entrance to the cave. He could make out the human like shape in the darkness. What startled him was the outline of his face . Or maybe it was a mask. Cass wasn't sure which one it was.

"Me Cass not human. That is why me hide  appearance. Most are not used to seeing cass true form. Me Cass is ruler of birds. Cass have natural powers. Me no have anyone who teach me. " Cass told the man now. He wasn't sure if that was a good enough explanation but it was the best that he could come up with.

If there was anything to note about Cass it was the fact that he was always honest when asked questions. At least he tried to be honest most of the time.

The winged woman just nodded as he spoke. Now she was not really wanting a fight with the creature that was coming ever closer to them. So hiding was indeed the best way to go.

" Okay I will go up there. I will let you know if it's big enough." She said to him now.

She then spread out her wings and took flight. As she did that there was a little bit of a buzzing sound. That was made by her wings. though she didn't offer she was strong enough to carry the man if he wanted her to.

As she got closer to the leadge she could see that there was plenty of room for both of them to hide safely. With that in mind she landed then looked back to the man and motion that everything was good and safe.

The bird like creature flinched a bit as he heard the shouting of his name. He didn't really like loud sounds all that well. Then he heard what the man said next.

"Me Cass just a traveler. Me smelled smoke and was curious. Like Cass said not many live here." Cass said now. Sometimes he knew that being curious could get him into trouble. But sometimes he just couldn't help it.

He stayed in his bird form still. His eyes glowed a bit right now. This was due to his magic being used. He didn't want to reveal what he was just yet. Though a talking bird might be more supious. Then his true form would be.

Then he saw the hand come out of the darkness of the cave. He was not sure if he really wanted to get any closer . However he was not going to be rude . He did have his manners after all.

So with that in mind he hopped closer to the cave entrance. When he was barely at the entrance he stopped. He was not really wanting to get too close yet.

" This better? Me Cass no mean to be too quiet. Me can understand that. The sun can be quiet bright." Cass said now.

He was still not sure if he wanted to get to close. He knew that there were dangerous things in these mountain.

The day was slowly fading into darkness as something move carefully through the evening shadows. She was almost invisible to the world. But if they listen closely they could hear he crying softly.she could not help but be sad sometimes. She was dead after all. She had been that way for a long time. She rubbed her eyes and stopped moving. She was not very good at dealing with sadness.


She heard a voice inside of her speaking now. She knew that was evil Raven talking. She whispered to her softly telling her not to come out. She knew that evil Raven was not someone who played very nice.she sniffed softly and wiped  her tears away. She needed to calam down. Though that was not an easy thing to do.

She looked around again and sighed. There was no one here to hear her crying. Not that they would care if they did. Oh the sadness of being dead.

Then a small sound made her flinch. Something was in the woods with her. She had to wonder if it was animal or something else. She didn't fear it though. After all most things could not hurt the dead.

The winged woman could indeed hear the sound of the creature speaking. It was talking in a very accident language. She could understand that it was looking for someone. Though she was not sure who it was yet.

" Yes I can hear her talking. She's looking for someone she's referring to as master." She said to the male now.

She then cocked her head and nodded." Yes I can talk to her. " She said to him now. Though there was no gauntee weather that the creature would be friendly or not.

There was a certain calm that was over the mountains that one creature did enjoy. He was very happy to just wonder around with no destination in mind. His eyes seemed to glow in the darkness of the wooded area . Though he was still a bit cautious for he knew that there was said to be dragons in this land. The last thing he wanted to do was disturb a dragon or something else that might be dangerous.

As he walked he could hear the sound of other creatures of the mountains. It was a calming sound to him. As he was walking something made him stop in his tracks.

The smell of smoke was in the air. Something or someone was here with him. Now he wondered who or what was here with him. So he decided to follow the smell.

As he got closer to the source of the smell he became a bit uneasy. There was something strange here. He could feel that it was no animal that was making that smell. Someone was here with him. With that in mind he shapeshifted in to his bird like form. He didn't want to reveal his true form to whoever was here.

He now could see that the smoke was coming from a small entrance to a small hole now that was interesting to say the least. So what did he do? He just stopped and frowned. He wasn't sure what the other was like.

The he heard a voice coming from the hole.
They spoke strangely. Yet the sound of their voice made him shiver a little bit. He felt that this male voice was a threat to him. However he chose to speak instead of running away. After all he was the ruler of the birds.

" Me cass no mean to bother you sir. Me was just curious. Me no see very many here in the mountains. Me will leave if you want Cass to. me no want a fight." Said the man still in his bird like form.

Cass as he was called did not want to fight. He was a peaceful sort of creature after all.

The winged woman was just frowning as she heard his first question. She was more like a wasp then any other insect. Though she could talk to them and understand their languages. Though not all of them were friendly and not all of them feared her like most did.

" Yes I do. " She answered his questions. She felt fear though . She really did fancy fighting whatever this creature was . Though she knew that this thing might consider them food.

She may have been a queen but. There was always others who wanted to kill her.

She then heard what he said next.in deed shad come across one of those before. The most it was said to her was that he was hungry.

" indeed I am knowledgeable about worms. If this is the worm you speak of then we are definitely going to have a fight. Though they do fear fire."

She then heard it's voice. It was just barely adorable at the moment. She could one word.

" It says master." She said said in a quiet voice. She wondered what that could mean.

Cassava just listed as he reacted to her words. She knew that it might shock some to know that she consider herself queen of the bugs but it was true. After all she could control them and make them do what she wants. So didn't that make her queen.

But before he could say much more the rumbling sound had happened. So as he was listening so was she. She wasn't quite sure what the noise was. However she kept quiet as he listens to the noises coming from the caven.

Then she jumped when she heard him speak again. She looked to him seeing that had reached for his weapon. Then she heard his question.

Now she was only very familiar with insects not other creatures so she looked to him and then to the caven.

Whatever was there had borrowed the caven that much she could tell.

" I am only familiar with insects. And whatever is here made that hole." She said with a frown.

She was a bit afraid to find out what it was that was down here with them.

Physical Description Raven has tow forms that she can be seen in. one is her ghost form and the other is her solid form. In ghost form Raven is tall and thin with long raven black hair and glowing blue eyes and she looks transparent almost see threw really. She has deep wounds on each of her wrists that look deep and very painful. The truth is that they don't really hurt her at all. In solid form she looks human and often wares all black cloths. She also seems more solid and her wounds look a lot more like scars then wounds

most of the time raven is a very hyper creature. She constantly wiggles and moves around never wanting to be still for very long at a time. She is also very goofy and says random things when she is bored and has nothing to add to a conversation. She also has a very silly aspect to her persona. She loves to joke around and even laughs at her own mistakes. So at first glance most would think that raven is a very happy person. They would be wrong to think that. For most of this is an act to hide her true persona . The one she has in ghost form.

In ghost form she often sits alone and stares at others. She likes to try to creep other out and scare them away. She also like to cause trouble while in this form. When they come close she will turn away and look down at her feet. When they talk to her she will give them simple answerers. In ghost form she is a very dark person who has a dark outlook on life. She never looks forward to anything . She always looks at the past never moving forward but yet she wants to forget what happened. So all in all raven is a sad depressed person who often hides her true feelings from others.

Cassava just watched the others reaction to her healing him. She was glad that he was so still and calm through out the hole ordeal. She had more than a couple freaking out on her before. It wasn't very fun for her.

She then heard him ask his question. Oh well that would be a hard one to answer. In fact she really didn't like to talk about what she was. It reminds her of her past.

" To put it simply I am a queen. Queen of the insects." She said hoping that answer would serfice.

She then looked around as she heard a low rumble. She wondered what that sound was . She also wonder if the man had heard it as well.

" Did you hear that? " She asked blinking a bit and looking around . Whatever that noise was it wasn't a very happy noise. It sounded quite angry in fact.

The shadowy creature just watched as he heard the fear in his pleading prey's voice . So she had a name now. Could he really take the life of something that just told him her name? No he was a lot of things but he wasn't that much of a monster.

He studied just how pathetic she looked right now. He hated when his prey did this. The creature just couldn't take the life of something so innocent and weak.

He sighed and looked at her now as he spoke to her his voice a bit lighter than before. " My name is phears. Look I just can't take your life now. " He said to her now. Looks like he's going to have to find another prey item tonight.

The winged woman just smiled as he took her offer. Now he would be in her debt. So she knew that she had a pointal playmate. For whatever game she has in mind.

She saw just how much bigger he was then she was as he got closer to her. Humm well that was to be expected concidering that she wasn't all that big herself.

" Okay now this will be strange but just remain still and I will have you healed. " She said with a slight nod.

Then she touched the creature arm and started to speak a strange language. Slowly insects stated to crawl up her body. Then they crawled on to the man's arm. Covered it in them.

Then a blue glow surround them and there was a crack as his bones healed back in to place. There would be no pain though. Just a sound.
Then the insects crawled back the way that they had come.

Then she looked at him and moved her hands off his arm. " Is that better?" She asked him now.

The shadows around phears we're thicker than the night. However when he moved his hands she would be able to see that they had long sharp claws on them.

He cocked his head as he heard her question. He supposed that he could be kind and answer her. Though the answer may be just as frightening as not knowing was.

"In your language my name translates to fear eater. " He said now with a grin. If she peered closer she might see his sharp fangs as well. though he didn't use his teeth to eat or his claws to kill prey.

The winged woman just stood there and kept the same smile on her face. She didn't care that it wasn't returned.

When he asked his question she nodded to him. Indeed she was a healer of sorts.

"Yes I can heal you. " She said with a nod. Now to see if he would allow her to or not.

She just listened as he spoke. The fact was he only knew of the way he had come in. Not the way she had. And then it struck her. She could probably try to retrace her steps and get this creature out of here. That is if he wanted her to and if she could remember her way.

"I know of the way that I got here . That is I can remember it somewhat." She said with a slight smirk on her face. She just would have to try to remember which way she had come from.

Then she moved a little closer to him looking at his hurt arm . She could fix this. Well rather her friends can.

"I can help you with that if you want me to. It will be a bit strange though." She said now. She was going to try to get him to let her help him. That way he would be in her debt.

Now if there was one thing that could be said about the winged woman it was the fact that she was observent of those around her. She could tell that she was being watched when she got closer. Though that didn't really bother her either. She would be watching someone too if they were getting closer to her.

She then heard what he said to her. So he was a fellow explorer. Well that made her feel Abit more relaxed than before.

"Interesting. I will admit to you that I am a little lost though. " She said with a bit of a sigh . She didn't really know how to get out of here. and from the hole in the ceiling neither did he.

She looked closely at him from where she now stood. She could see that he seemed to have hurt himself .At least he was holding his arm so that it seemed that way. Maybe he would like some help with that?

"I can see that your arm is being held. Are you hurt?" She asked in a soft non threatening voice now. She only wanted to be kind to him after all.
