· Physical Description ·Vesd has very while, pale skin that has a faintly blue, ice like sheen when bright, sunlight hits it. His eyes are equally frosty and he's rather cold to the touch. There are a couple of silver and diamond piercings in his ears, but they change as frequently as his residence. He tries to keep his white / pale blue hair short, since it's easier in his line of work and he doesn't like it when it's in the way.
Vesd generally dresses simply. He doesn't like to draw attention to himself, so he dresses in whatever manner of people he's around. Like playing dress up, it is something he quite enjoys. He does favor a thick, furred coat, some hefty snow boats, and a scarf though.
· Personality ·Nothing phases Vesd. Rather, that's why he's in this line of work. Lookin' for the next big
shocker. The next big villain. The world ender. The cataclysm. Utterly convinced he'll witness it, or have information on it before it happens. He sees himself as a broker of information between the
forces of good and evil. He's neither. Just an elf, watching the world go by. If he gets to make a comfy living as that happens, then that's just great.
He likes good food, fine drink, and the occasional depressant drug after a job is completed. He is narcissistic enough to think he can go toe to toe with the scariest of monsters and talk his way out of it, as well as charm his way out of any sort of prison sentence. Bribery is a second language to him, and he speaks it fluently. Blackmail is a close second.
None of it is personal though.
· Magic / Abilities ·Vesd is a skilled ice mage, with the inborn ability as a snow elf to summon, create, and command ice and cold magic. He doesn't flaunt this talent, much preferring to talk his way out of any situation.
From his days when
he was the assassin, and not the informant, Vesd knows a fair bit of shadow magic and illusions. He can step between shadows, veil himself in them, and warp them to suit his whim. Minor illusions are equally helpful.
Vesd is well versed in many different poisons, their application, and how best to kill people with them. Call it a vested hobby he's picked up over the centuries.
He's well read, well studied, and he likes to think there isn't a major language he doesn't speak, read, or write fluently. If he can't understand you, you're not speaking a language that was important enough to learn.
Vesd is particularly susceptible to any sort of fire magic - not that he'd tell you - and his own magic does nothing against it. He'll be quick to vacate a situation in which any sort of fire magic is being used. He knows when it's better to run away, to live and fight another day.
His narcissism can frequently get him into trouble and he's been forced to pick up jobs and owe favors to people when his mouth talks him into situations he can't talk himself out of.
