It was a sizzling sound.

That's what he could describe it as. The air around them was on fire, a swirling vortex of heat, light, and colour. One instant, everything in the forest around them was visible, no shadow was apparent...and then...there was the sizzling sound. It was very loud, and it filled his ears. It was a funny thing, because he didn't care about himself, but he was worried that the forest would burn to the ground. Sizzling usually meant something on fire. It wasn't him was it? Was he on fire?! It was still dark, he couldn't check.

That was until the sizzling sound disappeared, and the light returned to his world.

The biting cold began to rage all around him. The feeling of intense confusion filled his senses. He didn't know where he was, but at least he knew how he got there. There was nothing around him, just the snow, the cold, the gnawing wind that thankfully didn't affect him. Well, it didn't affect him too much. There wasn't very much light, but he could still see fine through the darkness. Thank the Mechanic he wasn't limited in vision like some of the other species. It didn't matter much though, because there was very little to look at.

Standing ankle deep in the snow was a man dressed in a black coat, with a large black hat. He was a very..fake looking person. His face didn't look real, despite a handsome appearance, small nose, a light brown hair, deep forest green eyes, he just looked...fake? It was as if he were built, that he had been created and not born. He just looked...like he was perhaps too perfect looking? It was very hard to tell just what the creature was, he looked human but he couldn't have been. Currently he was looking around the frozen tundra, trying to figure out his surroundings.

It was just a wasteland.

The north looked like it was just a flat land with snow. The east looked like a flat land with snow. The west looked like a flat land with snow. Surprisingly...even the south looked like flat land with snow. It didn't help that there was a bit of a blizzard going on, and that he really had no sense of direction. He couldn't even be sure if this place had the same magnetic poles as some of the other places he had been. It was a terrifying thought, being lost...but at least he had...

He looked around for that familiar shape, the one that should be in a coat much like his own, and a large hat just like he wore. His mind was suddenly overcome with fear and despair as he noted that this familiar shape, was not there. Where was he?! This was impossible! They were separated! They didn't do that! They couldn't do that! They were twins after all! He tried to calm himself down. Maybe he wasn't that far away. "Hal!" He called out into the biting wind. "HAAAAAAL!" He yelled, louder, and longer this time. He waited, hoping to hear a response...but there was only the wind. He wasn't even sure his voice was able to carry over the somewhat roaring wind. It seemed to drown a lot of things out, and he could only hear it howling around him.

"HAL'ENZERA!" Nothing. He was...he was alone. In the middle of a frozen tundra...he perked up however as he thought about it. This would be a learning experience. This would be something that he could handle. Despite having been together for so long, he was a tad bit eager to experience being alone. He was the great Mal'metheus after all. He reached up and adjusted his hat, his sleeve hitting against his ear...and that's when he remembered something important. He wasn't alone! Not by a long shot! Locked within the ruby red earring that he wore, which looked completely out of place for the man, was the reason he was here, and would be his company.  He still had Hireso, who was responsible for his current predicament. "Hireso, come out now!"
