__________________IN-DEPTH STUFF

Physical Description Tall, plain, but beautiful; in a timeless kind of way. However, she looks rather worn, with her pale eyelashes and white blonde hair set against slate blue eyes that house a piercing ferocity to them that sometimes scare the church children. Her face is beginning to set with frown lines and creases by her brow, but other wise, she's left with not many other noticeable wrinkles, as smile lines wouldn't have been her thing. But she always appears to look serious, or frowning.

Her skin is pale due to spending large amounts of her time indoors, and wearing the heavy, restrictive clothing of the church. The symbol of Ansgar is the only piece of jewelry she has, worn on a iron necklace that hangs heavily from her neck.

Because her hair is so blonde, her eyebrows appear almost not there.

Personality
Stoic, devout, unyielding; Sister Audress is sometimes noted to be the 'rock' of the church, unmoving in her faith and strength unchallenged.
If anything, her times before the church add the drive of devotion to her plate.

History

Before she was a sister to the church, she was a married noblewoman, with three incredible children and a life many would envy. But that all changed. Her children are dead, as is her mage husband, who brought the condemnation on them all. She was the only one to survive a raid against his name, unwittingly not realizing her husband had been involved in some underground activity promoting mage freedoms and helping them during the early stages even before the war. It got him and all three of her children dead. She too, should have died, but Audress believed it was the light of Ansgar she saw and it was Ansgar himself that touched her and saved her life.

So when she recovered, she confessed of her husband's sins, and the potential sins of her 3 dead children, and gave herself wholly to the church. Each day, she continues to repent, and has heavy whip lashes scaring her back that pain of any kind no longer phases her.  She feels her life before the church is something she may never recover, but can only hope to off set her damnation through long hard years inside the church...

But she is only a woman, and there is something inside her she could not left unspoken. And so late in the nights of her church when she could not sleep, she began to write the things she reflected on from the teachings of Ansgar. When her writings came ot the surface, they were praised; and saw as a potential new light on Ansgar's word. Even as the church embraced her new gospels, Sister Audress punished herself for the writings- for it was a man's job and  despite her inability to keep herself FROM writing these scriptures, she will, int he end, whip herself for each word written whens he is through.

These new scriptures are being used and read at the New Church of Ansgar, the newest, grandest building in Reajh (after the Grand Palace, in which it can not compare). It is at this new church where she dwells, and remains a constant aid with the church's patriarch- a position she feels, she is unworthy, and punishes herself nightly or as well. One should always ask for forgiveness, for we are all guilty of sin.
