Physical Description
Lucian has a light brown pelt, with a white belly. His wings are the same light brown as his fur, although the undersides are more of a golden yellow. To contrast the light brown, he is spotted with black spots like those on a cheetah or leopard. His face is soft and fluffy, as is usual of his kind, and his eyes are a like fire in a bronze lantern. His tail feathers are the same gold as his eyes, and his tail is tipped with a small tuft of black.
As far as clothing goes, he usually wears a pair of modified gloves due to his apprenticeship, and also wears a pair of goggles to protect his eyes from both the flames of the forge and the summer sun!
Personality
Lucian is hard working; as an apprentice to a master blacksmith, one would expect it. That being said, he is dedicated to his craft, and has turned out some very fine pieces. As far as family ties go, he is not very close with his family, and doesn't write very often. However, in spite of that, the young gryphon is a kind and well meaning soul, even if his mentors seem more like a family than his actual family does.
Though he is kind and thoughtful, Lucian also can be a bit hard on others at times. Cowardice is not high on his list, and neither is laziness. Basically, if your supposed to work at something, and you have the ability to do it, then do it! He will openly call someone out if they need it, or he will talk with them privately about an issue. Either way, he will chew their ass over it, and try to correct the problem!
Other
Due to his size, profession, and all round preference, Lucian mostly gets around by flying just a few feet of off the ground. He uses magic a fair bit in this to make it easier for him to sustain such a state of flight all day. Also, when under stress, such as having either a really big order, or having a person of great importance as a guest, he tends to be a bit of a klutz, dropping things, and sometimes even hurting himself! It doesn't happen very often, however, and he's getting better with working under stress.
As his apprenticeship to Rorik is only in the winter months between late November to early March, Lucian spends the rest of his year in La'Marri working odd jobs and reforging tools to keep his skills polished.
Relationships
Rorik Ulfberht: Master Blacksmith/ father-figure. Even though he only sees Rorik during the winter months, Lucian considers the man a close figure in his life, more so than his own father.
