The promise of a free passage back to Connlaoth hung like a tantalizing mirage, just out of reach, as he stumbled from one wrong path to another. Frustration bubbled within him, and he began to suspect that the helpful local had sent him on a wild goose chase just for the sheer amusement of it.

As he climbed a rocky cliff, each step filled with an increasing sense of impending doom, Sera's thoughts raced, blending grumbles about his life choices with colorful curses directed at the mysterious guide. In the midst of his disgruntled monologue, a fragile surface gave way beneath his foot, and he found himself plummeting through an unexpected opening. His target was Nicholas Bernard, a petty thief who got too big for his britches on the mainland. Still, he was pretty damn fast.

"You can't outrun me forever Nicholas!" Amaya called out to him with a sense of playful antagonism.

"Fuck off!" the thief yelled colorfully.

The chase persisted for more time than Anaya would like to admit. There had been a time where Nicholas actually gave him the slip, but after stalking the streets of the city for an hour or so he put eyes on him once again.

He wouldn't let him get away so easily this time. Amaya quickened his pace, playfully taunting his prey from behind as he weaved through the bustling crowd, determined to catch up and—

"Shit! Not again!"

The couple Amaya ran into earlier were back in his way, once again with coffee that they must have surely replenished after the last incident.

Amaya's intuition proved correct when he briefly noticed the rising steam visible from their cups. Despite his efforts to maneuver around them, a collision ensued, resulting in the man wearing his coffee again while the woman managed to avoid a repeat dousing.

"Sorry ma'am!" Amaya called again.

Amaya deftly pursued Nicholas through the crowded streets, dodging market stalls and sidestepping unsuspecting pedestrians. The chase led them to the outskirts of the city, where a lively river stream danced its way along the edge.

Cornered, Nicholas turned to face Amaya, an air of desperation clinging to him. "Give it up, would ya?," Amaya grinned, feigning sympathy.

Nicholas, fueled by bravado, swung a wild punch. Amaya, ever the agile fighter, bobbed and weaved with a smirk. "That was cute! Next time, try to actually land a hit on me, my friend!"

A rowdy crowd gathered, enjoying the unexpected street theater. Nicholas swing many times and missed many times, Amaya mostly reserved himself but landed one good crack at his jaw. Unfortunately, that punch caused Nicholas to fumble backward, grabbing Amaya by the collar. They both lost balance and tumbled into the river with a splash.

Now floating downstream, their waterlogged fight continued. "Now look what you did!" Amaya yelled. 

Nicholas, sputtering water, replied, "Me?! You're the one who started it!"

As they drifted along, fists still flying, the chaos unfolded to the amusement of onlookers along the riverbank.

Another hour passed before Amaya sauntered into the authorities' office, dragging a thoroughly drenched and unconscious Nicholas. He nonchalantly dumped his bounty onto the ground with a resonant thud.

The man behind the counter regarded Amaya with a skeptical gaze. "What happened, exactly?"

Amaya, resembling a waterlogged mutt, shook out his hair and offered a sly grin. "Went for a swim," he said. "Got any coffee?"

What types of plots are you interested in playing?
I'm pretty open to anything, but I have a soft spot for tragedy and a touch of romance.

What types of plots are you not interested in playing?
Mostly combat-only plots. I love a good combat scene, and writing in-depth scenes can be a lot of fun, but I prefer them to be inside of a larger plot. Outside of that, I'm willing to try anything.

How often can you reply to any given thread?
It will depend on any given week's availability, but I will try to reply once every day to every two days!

Just like romance, I'm a sucker for writing these - however, I think it should make sense to the plot AND not be incredibly drawn out.

What are your limits in regards to pregnancy within plots?
This is something I'm not against, but just talk to me about plots first and we can go from there. I can't promise I'll be good at writing them though XD

What are your limits in regards to violent scenes?
Some of my characters can be pretty violent, but I think it will be important for me and my RP partner to discuss beforehand so we're both aligned and not doing something the other is uncomfortable with.

Same as violence - ask me first and we can go from there, but I think I'd prefer a fade-to-black scenario or implication if it must be done.

Lowen possesses remarkable agility, making speed his greatest asset. Proficient with a variety of blades, he favors daggers and knives for their lightweight nature and ease of use during his travels. While Lowen doesn't have any known magical abilities, he has experienced instances of healing by touch in the past, though the method eludes his understanding.

Ipsen shares the same abilities as skillset as Lowen, but he is not afraid to, and actually prefers, to fight dirty.

A little over 4 years ago, Lowen woke up in a bed that wasn't his, in the home of an elderly couple he did not know, and in a place he did not recognize (later to find out it was La'marri). He had no recollection of who he was or where he came from. Prior to that day, the Thorns found him badly injured and unconscious outside of town, and took him in to their home so he could recover. Lowen remained with the couple for several years after that, helping them out in any way he could to repay them for saving his life - thus becoming a part of their family.

Since he didn't know his real name, the Thorns started calling him Lowen, the name they wanted to give to a son if they ever had one. When the Thorns both passed away, Lowen started introducing himself as 'Lowen Thorn.' Since their passing, he has been steadily wandering from town to town - hoping to discover who he was before he lost his memory and searching for a place to call home.

The cause of Lowen's amnesia, unknown to him, is rooted in deep psychological trauma. In addition to losing his memory, Lowen developed a second personality - Ipsen - that will sometimes take over when Lowen feels trapped, pushed over the edge, or is facing a hardship. Ipsen knows the history that Lowen desperately seeks, but keeps that information and himself hidden from Lowen. It is unknown if the Thorns ever had an interaction with Ipsen.

Physical Description
Dinny looks more Serenian than he does Yoreiqi in almost every way, but that isn't saying much. He has no wings as a large portion of the Yoreiqi do - including his father, and he is short for a male of that ethnicity. For a Serenian? Average height.

He has dirty blonde hair that falls down to shoulder length, and his complexion is caught right in the middle of his mother's fair skin and his father's dark, sun-bitten tone. His eyes are a round, aquatic green and the boyish look on his face is constantly exuding cockiness.

He's got the athletic build of your typical Yoreiqi while simultaneously having the delicate features of a Serenian. He likes to think of himself as "ruggedly handsome," but most would call him "cute" at best.

Personality
Boyish, witty, light-hearted, show-off, cocky, trickster, smartass. These are all traits his close friends (aka the members of his bandit crew) would describe him as. When he's not robbing you blind, he's probably plotting something a little mischievous - though it's always in good fun the way he sees it. Sure, he's a thief, but he is a good-natured thief.

He loves women. He really loves women. All women. Younger women, older women (within an appropriate range for both mind you), women of different ethnicities, women of different species... you name it. He can be quite charming when he wants to be, but will often come across as a womanizer. Nothing beats rescuing a damsel in distress!

When time to do something heroic, or anything that requires drastic measures, he'll hum a little theme song for himself. No shame in his game.

For a man born from a Yoreiqi man and a Serenian woman, he did not hold onto any of their values. If he did, he hides them well.

Magic/Abilities
Din is quick on his feet, agile with a blade, and can even throw a fist or two. His mouth is just as much of an asset to him in battle as his twin daggers are, though sometimes it can do more harm than good. He has the natural strength of the Yoreiqi people - being able to take a punch - and has some knowledge of elemental magic from his Serenian side. Residing in Yoreiq for most of his life, conjuring water spells is his primary go-to for the elements, and can manipulate it at times as well.

Completing the look are his well-worn black boots, seemingly chosen for their effectiveness in close encounters, such as kicking someone in the face.

While he rarely carries weapons, on occasion, he wields a long, slender masamune-type sword when the need arises.

Personality
Amaya is a cunning and sarcastic bastard who tries to never take anything too seriously. He's also somewhat of a womanizer, a gambler, a con man, and yet can be charming in his own right.

He's quite the feared bounty hunter in parts of Thanatos until his bounty meet him and realize how ridiculous of a person he is. He will often treat his jobs as a fun little game, almost making friends with his bounty before taking them in.

Magic/Abilities
For being a Serenian, Amaya doesn't know a lick of magic. That's not to say he doesn't have the ability, but he's never picked up the art nor has he ever cared to. He's a very skilled swordsmen but prefers to slug one out with his fists any day. He's quick, agile, and will fight dirty if he has to.

History
Amaya use to run with a murderous street gang in Serendipity, before they double crossed him and left him for dead. After seeking revenge, he got in a little over his head and fled to Thanatos, where he's been hiding out, working as a Bounty Hunter, until he can go back and settle the score.

"Fuck you, boy."

The Nobleman's gaze froze in horror as reality crashed down upon him. Theodore was never truly a Noble, never "Theodore." He was a Lola, that woman's son from years past. Everyone believed he was dead—Viktor claimed it so. Yet, there he stood, exposing their collective foolishness, a charade that endured for years. Had Viktor deceived them all? Or was he, too, ignorant of the truth?

"W-What the hell do you-"

"Shut up," the young man standing before him hissed.

Damien Lola confronted the Noble, his eyes resembling ice, cold and unwavering as he glared at his prey. A surge of concentrated anger emanated from his gaze as he advanced, taking one step closer to the Nobleman. In response, the Nobleman retreated, matching each step until the man found himself cornered against the wall, sheer terror etched across his face.

"Dirty scum like you need to be cleaned," Lola scowled as he continued his slow pace toward the man. "Isn't that what you use to say to her?"

"Don't t-take another step closer. I will screa-"

The Nobleman's attempt to speak was abruptly cut short as Lola lunged at him, delivering a punch that connected directly with the Noble's nose.

Thud!

The Nobleman's head collided with the wall, and he slumped to the ground with a whimper. Lola, now kneeling to meet him at eye level, asserted, "No one would hear you even if you did. There's a party downstairs, and the door is locked. No one would even think of coming to this section of the estate. It's just you and me now."

Finally. Justice. He had waited so long for this moment.

He extended his palm, focusing on his elemental mastery of water. In a matter of moments, a block of water materialized, and the young man directed it precisely around the Nobleman's head.

The Nobleman's eyes widened in desperation as he struggled to breathe. Lola prevented any escape attempts, holding him down. With flailing arms and kicking legs, the Nobleman fought for air, steadily losing oxygen. A plea lingered in his eyes, but Lola felt no sympathy as he watched those eyes until the light extinguished.

"I did it," he said under a breath as he got back up to his feet. Gods. That felt good.

Lola regretted landing that punch, but he couldn't resist the satisfaction it brought. He refrained from moving the body for now, uncertain if he even wanted to. The revelation of this unfortunate soul's corpse might serve as a sufficient distraction for him to pursue his next target. Concealing the slight bruising on his knuckles became his immediate concern.

He pulled out his black book of names, flipping through the pages. Missendria Rakkel. He knew she was not involved in the original incident, but reports informed him that she may be aiding those who he was after. He would crush anyone that got in his way.

Returning to the door, he took a moment to ensure the coast was clear. Satisfied, he unlocked the door, stepped into the hallway, and seamlessly rejoined the festivities downstairs.

"Theodore" wore a beaming smile, his eyes alight with energy, as he navigated through the lively crowd of the Nobleman's party. He exchanged pleasantries with handshakes, nods, and grins, seamlessly returning to the company he had been keeping before his brief detour.

"Ah, Theodore! There you are!" one of the men called out as he approached.

"Yes, I apologize, I had to excuse myself for a bit," he said cheerfully. "All of these spirits were starting to get to me!"

"Theodore," a woman in the group cut in with a chuckle. "You never finished your story. You were telling us about the time you had stolen those Dragon eggs?"

"Ah right!" he chimed in, though the tale was nothing more than another fabrication. The strain of concocting these stories was taking its toll, but the disguise was proving worthwhile. Do Dragons even lay eggs? Surely they do.

The party persisted for another hour or so, until a sudden disruption shattered the festivities.

'AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAGGHH!'

The piercing scream echoed through the halls, sending shivers down the spines of those who heard it. In response, a woman bolted into the open at the top of the staircase, panic and fear etched across her face.

Someone had found the body.
