A sweet face, hazel eyes, and a slightly upturned nose give her a girlish vulnerability, the sort of face that one wants to cradle in their hands and protect. A slender waist and waif-like arms belie the predatory sharpness of her cheekbones and the liquid grace of her stance; while she looks lovely, it's clear that she has been trained to kill. A simple white linen shift falls to her knees, partially covering long legs and barely-there curves; set above the simple neckline, an amber jewel, uncut and only partially polished, hangs from a leather thong tied around her neck. A tumbled mass of honey blonde curls falls to her waistline, bangs partially framing her face. Though she moves with the grace of a predator, she has all of the brilliance of sunshine.

dragon form:

Much like her human form, Eira is very slender, with long, sinuous curves like a snake. Though she stands only a few feet over a Clydesdale horse, her wingspan makes up nearly two-thirds of her size. Her scales are a brilliant jade, highly lustrous and extremely hard. Her eyes remain the same shade of hazel when in her dragon form, set below a pair of double-pronged horns. A thick frill of reinforced skin arches along her neck, and her tail is slightly spiked, with a serrated edge.

Personality
Positive: Compassionate, Perceptive, Steady, Tolerant
Neutral: Practical, Keeps Emotions to Self (may seem cold-hearted), Loves Learning, Prefers Solitude
Negative: Jealous, Stubborn, Self-Critical, Disobedient

Primarily, Eira is very warm and compassionate. She cares deeply about those around her, whether they include her siblings or strangers. Despite her family's seeming intolerance of humanoids, she finds them intensely interesting, delighting in wandering among them and studying their habits. She's very perceptive, typically picking up on the small nuances of emotion that people don't think they're showing, and molds her behavior to such cues.

In tough situations, Eira is fairly level-headed and always practical; she favors a calm approach to the screeching, panic-stricken way that most people seem to exhibit. And even though she's warm towards humanoids, she's often relatively reserved, as well; such inscrutability leads others to see her as cold, though she's nothing of the sort. Her passionate desire for learning and caring for others disproves this entirely. However, despite her nature, she does find comfort in being removed from most people; solitude is her natural state, much like any researcher.

Despite her positive qualities, Eira is much like many others. Her jealous wrath knows no bounds, and when she competes with others for someone's affection, destruction usually follows. This is partially why she keeps herself removed; to allow attachment also allows the jealousy. Like many who affiliate with the stolidity of the earth, she's also quite stubborn, and it's hard to turn her from her desired course. This also ties in with her disobedient streak; if there's one thing she hates, it's orders of any kind.

Around her family, many of the baser qualities of Eira come out; she becomes fiercely argumentative, typically sarcastic, and her moods become more volatile. Despite this, she's fiercely loyal towards them, even if she seriously disagrees with their ideals.

Magic/Abilities

Earth Affinity: Eira has a particular attachment to the earth. With her dragon-born magic, she can encourage growth and influence its outcome. However, her skills are primarily life-based, and can only occasionally be used for negative outcomes. This typically takes the form of Eira using it for healing; she can draw energy from the earth to aid her in healing those around her, through a combination of practical and spiritual knowledge.

Timelessness: After reaching physical maturity, Eira and her siblings are essentially ageless. Though able to be killed physically, they are resistant to most diseases and age hardly at all.

Skin Changing: Though a dragon, once she reached physical maturity, Eira became able to shift into a human. This is the only other "skin" she can change to.

Relationships
Electi, Emilia, Aeizith, Kaida: Siblings. Though fiercely loyal, Eira has always felt estranged from her family. While she visits them relatively often, she doesn't permanently live with them.

General History: Many millennia ago, before humans and most of the other races had appeared yet, besides the ancients of course, there were a family of dragons. Four siblings were born to a mother, Kilandria, and father, Mor'zat. The eldest of the siblings was named Electi, a dragon with beautiful crimson scales that was born with a unique ability to control the emotions of others. He lived a good life with his parents for 10,000 years before his sister, Emilia, hatched from an egg. Being an only child until then one might think Electi would get jealous of his younger sister, but it was the exact opposite. In fact, the young dragon simply adored her. He indulged her more often than not, still teasing her occasionally as elder brothers do. They bonded quickly and were almost never seen apart from each other. She was much more aggressive than he was though, probably due to her natural affinity for using void magic.

Roughly five millennia after Emilia was born, Kilandria gave birth to another hatch-ling whom she called Eira, another female dragon. Both Electi and Emilia were entranced with the new addition to their family, doting on her whenever they had the chance. Growing up the three dragons became inseparably close, finding new acts of mischief to entertain themselves. More often than not these included eating and toying with humans, as well as the other creatures that had begun to spring up around the world. Emilia was always the one to suggest this, taking immense pleasure in the bloodshed. Electi didn't overly care for it, though it did bring him a great sense of joy. Perhaps that was mostly due to seeing his sisters enjoying themselves and hearing their laughter. Eira, on the other hand, was always a bit more reserved about it than the other two, though she never showed it outwardly. The only one able to tell was Electi, due to his power over emotions.

They continued to live on, eventually learning how to change their forms to appear as humans when they needed to instead of the large dragons that was their natural visage. After spending more time among the other creatures, talking with them, manipulating them, often causing them to fight to the death for the dragons' own amusement, something changed within Emilia. There was a sort of ambition that had awakened within her. She spent more and more days spouting tales of an empire she would build one day, becoming queen of the mortals. Electi found it exceedingly entertaining to listen to her when she rambled about such things, hardly noticing Eira going off into the small towns and cities surrounding their home.

Eira was naturally compassionate and kindhearted, even toward the mortals that her elder siblings saw as nothing more than toys to be played with. Naturally, curiosity had gotten the better of her and she began to take an interest in the lives of the humans that had settled nearby. Never revealing her true form, she walked among the mortals daily, learning as much as she could about them. Of course this started slowly and her visits were few and far between, but when the dragons' parents eventually found out about this they had forbid Eira from doing it again, saying that she shouldn't worry about the lives of her food. Being naturally inclined to disobedience, Eira took that as a challenge, making it her very goal to learn everything she could about, not only the humans, but every race of creature she came across. Her thirst for knowledge was too great.

They continued their 'normal' lives this way for what might be a long time for mortals, but was nothing for a dragon. Another eight thousand years passed with Emilia's ambitious talks growing more and more detailed, something Electi found tantalizingly entertaining. He was starting to wonder if his sister might one day actually pursue these fantasies of hers. Eira no longer kept her journeys among the humans a secret, but blatantly flaunted the fact of her visits in front of her parents and siblings, showing off some trinket or book she picked up somewhere along the way. Then came the day for another of the dragon eggs to hatch, this time bringing another male into the family. His name was Azeizith and took the form of a purely black dragon, as opposed to Emilia's purplish-black hues.

It was obvious to the rest of the siblings that Aeizith didn't like attention. Whenever they went out among the mortals together he tended to stay behind the others, usually letting them take the brunt of any conversation that might come their way. He seemed to do pretty much anything Electi and their sisters told him to, Emilia taking full advantage of that fact. It was often Electi's job to intervene when she asked too much of their younger brother, instead giving him another task to do which was often fake simply to get him out of Emilia's clutches. Aeizith didn't really begin to shine until the youngest of the five siblings, Kaida, was hatched.

The young Aeizith took an extreme interest on his younger sister, not hesitating to dote on her any chance he got. Kaida grew to be more like Emilia than the others, however, reveling in destruction and blood. She enjoyed all of her siblings' company, but chased after Emilia the most which made Aeizith a bit jealous of his elder sister. Of course this only caused more inter-family rivalries to form, but they were very few and almost always settled immediately thanks to Electi. Finally, the day came when her fantasies of grandeur were no longer enough for Emilia and she decided to leave her parents to make them a reality. Electi saw this as an opportunity to really have some fun in his life and followed suit. He didn't even have to influence the others to come along either. Wherever Emilia went so did Kaida and with Kaida came Aeizith. The only one who seemed a bit reluctant was Eira, but did so anyway.

A few more centuries passed and the dragon siblings created a small empire of their own based in a fortress in the Kilanthros Mountains. Though Eira started with her siblings, she evetually became more and more distant, to the point where she was rarely at home, only visiting her family occasionally.
