Physical Description

Quilla has two forms, red wolf and her human form. As a wolf she is a red-brown in color with a white belly and piercing golden-amber eyes. She's a slim build and a bit small for her species but it has made her quick nonetheless.

As a human, Quilla is of a medium height and likewise slim build with darker skin. She retains her startling golden eyes as well as having long, waist-length deep red hair. Her features though are almost doll-like belying an innocence to her despite her reserved nature.

Quilla's main defining feature is one that is not always visibly present. As the feral beast buried within her comes too close to the surface outside of the sway of the moon almost glowing red runes will appear on her cheeks and brow almost as if they have been painted there.

Personality

A traditionally sweet and shy girl, the moon has an unsought for side effect on Quilla's personality. Quilla tends to keep to her self. She is soft-spoken and generally submissive and gentle in nature and approach. However, as the call of the moon rings in her veins she can become somewhat agitated, even bolder or more aggressive when faced with a challenge or confrontation. Additionally, in times of stress, fear or anger the more feral side of her will push to be more dominant. The stronger it pushes, the darker her runes will flare in an effort to suppress the wolf.

Magic/Abilities

~Lycanthropy: Quilla is a slave to the moon and it's changes. On the night of the full moon she will shift into her wolf form with its baser, more feral instincts. She is able to retain some of her logic and humanity on the night of the full moon but for the most part she is completely instinct run. Due to her condition she has a heightened sense of hearing and an increased sense of smell during the upcoming nights of the full moon. Additionally while in her wolf form, Quilla who is blind in her human form is able to see faint outlines and shapes of things in grey-scale.

~Sealing Runes: When the gift, or curse depending on how you see it, of lycanthropy was bestowed upon Quilla a ritual binding was placed upon her by temple priests in order to cage the beast within. While it is not enough to stop her from transforming on the night of the full moon, it does keep the beast from rising fully outside of the moon's call. The runes themselves will flare to life in times of stress, anger, or anxiety proving once more how well the beast is trapped inside her.

Relationships

Parents: Quilla lives with her parents who are both alive and well. They worry about their daughter constantly but allow her enough freedom to work as an apprentice in a potter's shop. They want only what is best for her in life.

History

Born premature in the dead of winter, Quilla was always a sickly child growing up. From a young age she struggled with her health and over a few short years it was discovered that her sight was rapidly declining. In an effort to protect their child, Quilla's parents did everything they could to try and seek help for her. They tried every potion and concoction, every healer within riding distance, everything they could think of until a group of traveling clergy came wishing to spread their goodwill.

Together with her parents the head priest managed to devise a risky yet possibly rewarding plan to save both Quilla's sight and her life as her health continued to rapidly fail her. Believing they had no other choice the Anobe's agreed to meet the clergymen on the night of a full moon where a lycan-cursed priest would bite their child transferring his condition to the child and hopefully therefore saving her life.

All went according to plan. Quilla was bitten and the beast within her was immediately caged within her mind by the runes placed on her by the priests. She continued to live a relatively healthier life from that point forward even though it meant sacrificing one night a month to the moon who turned her into a beast. The change restored only a fraction of her sight though much to the disappointment of her family. However, it gave her stronger control over her other senses and thereby providing her with a somewhat more independent lifestyle.
