CH. I – Painting a Portrait
Anron has managed a few scars in the course of his career, the best of them all being the slash across his left eye.  He still has the eye, thank Hakeshna, and it works perfectly despite its outward disfiguration.  Anron is well built, a result of his gladiatorial days, and one he often maintains, not having yet grown complacent enough in his wealth to become lazy or fat.

He’s a handsome man, if a little rough around the edges, with medium length dark-brown hair, stopping just at his shoulders and often tied or braided back, and is often clean-shaven, or as well as he can maintain, though some stubble manages to grow rather quickly.  He has speculative eyes, while not deep set, they are shadowed by a medium-high brow.  His nose is straight with wide nostrils and medium-full lips that have a somber expression set to them, but at times they can be upturned into a smile.

+ NOTABLE MARKS +
As a result of his gladiator days, Anron bears a stark scar across his face, a long slash across his left eye, and cutting into his cheek, stopping just above his upper lip.  It is someone striking to say the least.  There are also remnants of battle scars detailed across his body here and there from his life in the Arena.

CH II – Mental Make-up
He’s smart and ambitious, though probably not nearly as cut-throat as many of his fellow Merchant Princes.  But he is as cold and as calculating as he needs to be.  He’s a thoughtful man, momentarily philosophical, necessarily analytical, and sometimes cynical.  His outlook isn’t precisely negative, as some might describe him.  Anran would describe himself as a realist, and would prefer to get to the heart of a matter than skirting around it.

Being a former slave himself, Anran is sympathetic to their plight.  He still lives with the horrors of the Colosseum at times, but they push him only to fight harder for the rights of the such servants.  He doesn’t hide his sentiments, though he doesn’t divulge the source of them to all but the worthy few.  And even those are told in extreme confidence only.

+ FAITH +
Hakeshna played a vital role in his survival within the arena, but when he gained his freedom, his faith became second place to the complex machinations of powerful Merchant Princes.  He has always been a realist and has never brought it upon himself to rely on the weight of the goddess in his favor.  He knows she has enough things to worry about as it is, without having to add himself to the list.

CH III – Social

+ RELATIONSHIPS +

CH IV – Abilities / Skills
+ GLADIATOR +
Though formerly in nature, Anran still possesses, and practices, any and all combat skills he acquired in his career in the Arena.  He is a master of hand-to-hand combat, sword fighting, spear combat, and javelin throwing – which was his particular specialty in the pit.  His past as a slave, having eventually won his freedom, is not something he advertises to everyone, knowing that certain cutthroat Princes would find some way to use it against him.

CH V – Gear / Equipment
Um, money?  Also, he has quite a weapons collection, from trophies of the Colosseum, armor pieces, both local and foreign.

CH VI – Reflections of the Past
Under Construction

Anran  had once been a slave, but he’d won his freedom.  It was a turbulent time in his past, and he knew that if he wanted to make a difference in the world, if it could be done at all, he needed the wealth and power of those that enjoyed the servitude of others so much, and sought to become a Merchant Prince.  He began by using what earnings he had gained that his former master had left for them and put it to work for him, buying and selling good horseflesh, and even racing horses until he began to accumulate enough wealth to establish himself and his territory.
