Of the many things Pol was, a fool was not usually one of them. But as he gently placed the altered top of his new love over her head and injured shoulder, he was not so sure any more. He knew very well that Kythe saw him blushing, or at least knew he was, by the smirk on her face, and that meant she likely knew why, which of course only caused him to blush harder. He felt like a foolish pup, seeing his first female in heat. Well Kythe wasn't in heat...strangely two legged creatures did not have heat like canines. Pol had never understood that, how they could have offspring all year round. But now wasn't the time to contemplate the difference between humans and wolves, that would take far too long, and besides, there were better things to do at the moment.
As Pol bound the shoulder of his beautiful love, he couldn't help but wince in sympathetic pain as she hissed. He wished so desperately that she had taken the painkilling water he'd offered, but she'd refused and if there was one thing that the former ranger had relearned about Kythe, it was that if she ever refused to do something there was no changing her mind. Thankfully as he placed his hands upon her, and the fire raced through him, her pain seemed to die down, it was almost as if he could feel the fire burning the pain way.
He smiled as she took his hand from her cheek and kissed his palm tenderly. Gods! Why had he waited so long?! This is what he'd wanted since he first arrived here, why had he waited until now? Once her top was back on, and he stopped feeling like a complete jerk for his slightly obvious staring, their eyes met. Their eyes had met so many times before, but now...now it was different. There was nothing held back, a wonderful fire of love burned brightly and uninhibited, and the half wolf couldn't help but stare into them.
I know Kythe, I've wanted to tell you the moment I woke up in the forest here. I've...I've never felt like this. I mean, not since I woke up. Pol had been about to say that his memories told him that he might have felt similar back in DaeLuin, but he knew that wouldn't be right. Rhosyn was nothing more then someone else's memory, he didn't know her, he didn't love her. He loved Kythe.
Slowly he placed his lips on Kythe's and kissed her soundly, loving the feel of the fire that blazed through his lips at the contact. Kythe, I love you, with all of my heart. I'm yours, now and forever, and I have been since the moment I found you again. Pol half sat, half fell, to the ground next to his beloved, and wrapped an arm around her, gingerly placing it upon her injured shoulder, and hugging her tightly to him. There was no way to tell her how much she meant to him, how much his heart ached for her even now that they were here together. So he didn't speak, he just sat, his arms around her and kissed her forehead gently.
How is your shoulder, my dear? Are you sure you don't want to take some of the water? I don't like the idea of you in pain, I never have. Pol smiled for a moment, then chuckled happily. You know, I have to say, I've never been so nervous as I am right now. I don't know what it is, well that's not really true. It is you. Whenever I am with you, and especially now that I know you love me, that last was said around a grin that split his face in two. Kythe, whenever when I'm around you I want to be better, I want to be the best. I want to be everything for you. I love you Kythe. But I have one question. Whenever, whenever we touch, fire runs through my body. Is it just my imagination or do you feel it too?
