It took Charik a moment to figure out what Sureya was miming, but once that note came out, it clicked into place. Charik perked up, fangs flashing in a grin, and held up a finger.
"Ah! An instrument, correct? A flute, or something like it? You like to play music? So you're not fully mute after all!"
Going to where a golden silk cord hung from the ceiling, Charik gave it a tug to set a bell ringing. Shortly after, a servant rushed into the room, bowing.
"Find this boy a flute!" Charik said, and received an exasperated look from the servant before she could contain it. But just as quickly as the expression appeared, she smoothed out her features, bowed again with a, "Yes, my Lord," and swept back out of the room.
Did they have instruments in the palace? Hm. Charik wasn't actually sure. Oh well! If not, surely his servants would find one! They always fulfilled his requests, one way or another.
"Anything else?"
