A list of character types that SotE is currently in need of! You're by no means
obligated to create such a character; these are just suggestions for those of you wondering
what types of characters are in short supply at the moment!
| MORDECAI, KNIGHTS, SOLDIERS, AND TRAINEES |
First off, we need Mordecai! Which is pretty crazy since, well, they’re pretty darned awesome. So join Mordecai! They can be new recruits, undiscovered, or seasoned soldiers. Just bring ‘em in! Let’s get Connlaoth running and bring on the persecution of mages!
Also, we're in need of knights, soldiers, and trainees for all the different military academies (Connlaoth, Adela, and Serendipity). So far, the numbers are really few, so we need lots of these types of characters, and hopefully a bunch of fun plots can spawn as a result of the different types of interaction, whether it just be patrolling the streets and taking care of crime, hanging out in the dorms, going through hazing, or just completing their training courses. There are tons of plot ideas out there for role-playing this type of scenario, and tons of possibilities for characters. And as much as we need trainees and regular soldiers, we also need more experienced, high ranking soldiers who are willing to train the trainees and carry out duties throughout the kingdoms. So go for it! Warrior characters are loved and a lot of fun.
Join thieves, or even gang members! Amazingly enough, we don't have many. So go on and join some! Join the Thief's Guild! Cause mischief! Torment nobles! Get arrested! Really, this is also kind of surprising—there aren’t many thieves oddly enough, and there’s a lot of ample opportunity to really cause some trouble, especially in Adela which is a bit unstable and vulnerable with King Akkiel having been away on a war campaign for so long.
Don't be shy...it's okay to play a rich guy/gal, and we hardly have any nobles at the moment. Whether they be from Serendipity,
Adela, Connlaoth, or Necromantia, these characters are in demand. Heck, they don't even have to be from any of the main kingdoms; they could always be from a place as of yet un-named. But really, some nobles for the kingdoms would be awesome. And if you like political intrigue, well, get involved!
It’s not just Mordecai that are in demand; players interested in exploring Connlaoth’s world are wanted! Connlaoth is another really unique area because it’s the only anti-magic country in SotE. So whether you want to play an average, anti-magic citizen, a Mordecai, or a mage (whether aware of his or her abilities or not), all these sorts of characters are adored and needed.
We need players willing to play members of Necromantia’s Council of Five. Let’s get Necromantia all bustling and active—it’s a really unique kingdom with a lot of potential.
Characters for the new areas are needed! It's true...not all the new information about these areas is up yet. But
don't be afraid! Just join some characters and start playing them there, break in the boards, start shaping the environment
and culture of the new areas.
