Shivers ran up and down Ocarern's spine as Aren leaned in to whisper in his delicate ear. It took every ounce of strength he had to not react. The act of focusing on the words being said though, well that was a different matter entirely. It was like his mind had turned into a thick sea of porridge and honey, sweet but messy. 'What does he wan-oh for Kessy. Of course, I should have known. They have been friends since the beginning. I'm just a tag-along they tolerate.'
He nodded slowly. "She likes flowers. Anything you-we give her she would keep. That's what best friends do." Ocarern tried to offer up a smile but, it felt so fake to him. He only hoped Aren did not see it for what it was. 'I was going to make Kessy a present. Stupid Aren! You always have to one up me. Now if I do it, it will either look like a joint effort or a "oops I look like an ass for not getting you anything, so here's my present!" I guess she wouldn't like my present anyway. It was dumb. Aren's right, flowers are better. I guess I better help him pick them out. I wonder if he even knows what her favorite are.'
Ocarern looked longingly towards Kestal before nodding his head again. "Should we go now while she's singing? She won't be able to stop us if we go now." His muddy brown eyes focused on Aren's own pair. 'The things I do for you Arensager Pexsa. I hope you understand the sacrifice I'm making for you. I never miss Kessy's singing. But, I will if you ask it of me. I will because you ask it of me.'
