He looked up once their prayers had been spoken, smiling guiltily and thinking she'd caught him looking at the fish in those moments. "Well I'm honored, thank you," Lucien murmured, reaching to obediently pluck a piece of fish from the plate to place down on his own.
Before he would dig in to his dinner, though, he eyed Agam and Riley expectantly until both had food on their plates. In the meantime he sipped at his wine again, savoring it even though it wasn't the finest he'd ever had. It was still the finest he'd had in a long while.
"Thank you for the invitation. It's been a while since I've had a proper home cooked meal at the table," Lucien directed towards her father with a knowing smile. At least it hadn't exactly been a lie.
