Physical Description

Kirsikka is not only very tall but also broad-shouldered and quite muscular. Due to her size and build it is not uncommon for many humans to mistake her for a male, a fact that often causes her to softly sigh but otherwise grin and bear it. While she does not mean for it either, she can appear to be a rather fierce and intimidating figure. The right side of her face from the temple into her hair line has three deep claw-marks from an old injury. The top of her right ear is also completely missing from this same incident.

Her skin is dark red with a smattering of freckles across the left side of her face. Kirsikka's hair is a deeper shade of maroon and traditionally kept long with lots of intricate braids across the top and sides of it. She also enjoys wearing a pair of teal crystal clips in her hair on the right side that hide some of her scarring there. Her eyes are both a vibrant red-orange with yellow sclera.

For attire she is partial to lightweight clothes that allow her to move quickly and easily but also have lots of pockets or pouches for carrying things. In the colder climate of her homeland, this meant soft furs. Now in Adela though, she has traded furs for light cloth when she can get although she keeps her leather armor and satchels. She also has a pair of "gauntlet" tattoos on her forearms. She has a pair of black bands around each wrist followed by thicker band of knotwork she designed herself and another band close to her elbow. [GOBLIN DRAW THE IMAGE AND PUT HERE]. Kirsikka does wear a reliquary around her neck that has the ashes of her Bibi in it but it is often tucked away under her shirt and out of sight so as to not get caught or snagged while working.

Personality

BLEEDING HEART
Kirsikka is a very giving, earnest, and selfless woman. She wants to help everyone and so her role in life as a healer came to her quite naturally. She is always the first to lend a hand or ear to someone in need or even to reach out to ensure someone is doing alright. She is as loyal as she is fierce, and endlessly optimistic. Kind words and bright smiles are always associated with her. Of the groups she is the most likely voted as the mom-friend for her nurturing and gentle personality that makes her the ultimate teddy bear. While not gullible or naive, she will go the extra mile for you if only because it would make your day. She is especially good with children and tries to make the extra effort to quite literally move to their level so as to not frighten them with her size and appearance.

That being said, her selflessness is slowly killing her. Her peers do not realise it for she's worked hard to hide it but Kirsikka is dying. She is weary not only in body but in soul. The guilt of losing so many of their company is a heavy stone about her neck. She takes those deaths very personally as a failure on her part and it far outweighs the hope of finding her own Resonance. While the call is there, she does her best to keep busy and ignore it. She has no doubt that when the journey has reached its ultimate end and everyone has gone their separate ways, that she likely will wander off alone to find her own "peace." After all a bleeding heart can only beat for so long before it runs out of drops to give.

Things

• Is very meticulous in the upkeep and care of her hair. Her braids are very carefully and patiently redone as they become mussed.
• Loves wildflowers. Thinks they are so delicate and precious for growing in adverse climates.

Magic/Abilities

Healer: While she possesses no magic of her own, Kirsikka is highly skilled when it comes to knowing what herbs can kill and what ones can heal. She's quick and talented from years of practice and intense study. She has also fully adopted attempting to learn the new herbs and techniques from the other peoples she has met along the way.

Warrior: Although Kirsikka prefers to be a healer first and foremost, that is not to say that she is a weak and incapable individual. She can hold her own in combat though she is slower perhaps than the more skilled and trained warriors of her people. Her strength and height do give her an advantage in close quarters. But, her preferred weapons are a throwing axe or sling. However, she does have limited skill with small knives. Swords are out of the question though.

Trader's Tongue: Speaks enough to know the names of their plants and some of their healing techniques but struggles with full conversation beyond general greetings and assurances of "it's okay. Keep calm. You're going to be fine." It's a work in progress but she is earnest in her attempts to learn and use it. Kirsikka tends to unconsciously add a lot of "sign language" hand movements into what she is trying to say.

Relationships

Bibi: He was killed during a hunting party when he failed to get out of the way in time of some deadly horns. Kirsikka loved her birthgiver greatly and it was an unexpected but deeply felt loss when he passed.

Opo: She is likely not much long for this world with the loss of her partner. Kirsikka has said her goodbyes fully aware that should she ever make it back home, her parent will not be there to greet her.

Sinikka: Krisikka's twin who is alive and well still back home. Sinikka has found her Resonance and the pair of them are eagerly awaiting their first child. Kirsikka is admittedly saddened that she will not be there to help birth her new niece or nephew but is content knowing her family is safe and happy.

History

Kirsikka was born with her identical twin sister Sinikka to a Resonanced couple. The pair grew up happy and close. Even when they moved out of the family home, they were glued to the hip as friends and partners in crimes. Sinikka was always the bolder twin and followed in their Bibi's footsteps as a hunter while Kirsikka chose a more sedentary life as a healer. Their dynamic only truly began to shift though as Sinikka found her heartsong and went on to be with her Resonance. Kirsikka was never jealous of what her twin had though she did miss having her always close and began to feel her own sadness at never seeming to be able to find her own Resonance.

Unable to find her own Resonance among her people and knowing the price that comes with staying, Kirsikka was eager to join others that dared brave the cold beyond their homeland in search of the ones that made their blood sing for hope and home. Her choice to go was not entirely selfish though, for as a healer, Kirsikka felt it was her duty to render her services to the group. Even if by some miracle they survived to find their Resonances out there and be accepted by them, babies would not be a thing

Kirsikka is one of the remaining ten of her people that made it as far as Adela. While she still hears her Resonance's call, unbeknownst to her companions, she is fading. She has already decided that she will see the journey to its full completion; she will travel with all those that remain until the company goes no further and is settled and then she is almost certain she will give up. The guilt and weariness of the dead is a heavier stone about her neck than the hope of finding her soulmate and them actually loving her back. Every day is a struggle to smile and to be strong, but she is a Solvi and they are made of pure willpower and determination if nothing else. Still though, the mountains call her and in the dark when thoughts are loud and all else quiet, she believes it would be a fitting place to have her final rest.
