Physical Description

Pyske is of average height for her people, as well as being slender and lithe in body. There is a graceful curve to her hips giving her a slight hourglass shape. Her skin is a deep cocoa color and is very smooth, unblemished, and well-cared for. Her hair, which is her pride and joy, is likewise extremely pampered. It reaches past her knees in thick, umber, rope box braids. Her routine to keep them shiny and healthy involves hours of brushing and massaging fragrant oils through them followed by careful re-braiding. She has dark brown eyes framed with long, thick, dark lashes and full beestung lips.

She prefers a modified version of the traditional garb of her people. She tends to wear sheer skirts with slits up the sides, while her tops vary between wrapped fabrics or more Serenian style bodices and blouses. For jewellery Pyske loves wearing bangles on her wrists or ankles. The ones that jingle are her favorite even if they do prove to be a challenge to slink up on people. She also carries a bejewelled dagger visibly strapped to her thigh beneath her skirts. It is very ornately decorated and looks as shiny and unworn as the day it was gifted to her.

Personality

JAGGERY AND SPICE
Outwardly, Pyske presents as a bright, sweet, and lively woman just this side of innocent. A bat of her long lashes and widening of her eyes has made many a man (and woman) desire to swoop in to her defense. She is quick to laugh and often will make jokes at her own expense in terms of her blindness. It is not surprising that she can set people at ease around her so quickly. After all, what harm can such a doll do?

CINNAMON AND FIRE
While not entirely an act, there is a street smarts and intelligence that she possesses that is often overlooked in the face of her girlish attitudes. It is easy to brush aside worrying about a blind woman who looks like she's lived the soft and privileged life. But, don't be fooled, Pyske has got spunk and fire. She's not going to be pushed around or taken advantage of unless she wants you to believe you're succeeding.

SAFFRON AND PRIDE
She is also an extremely stubborn and hardy woman. Once she gets something in her mind it is nigh impossible to get her to budge on it. She does not take well to being told she can't do something and has on more than one occasion gone out of her way to do said task out of pure spite. Pyske is a prideful woman and takes great pleasure in holding her head high in the face of any challenge presented to her. Blindness hasn't stopped her from living like the princess she believes herself to be, no mortal is about to stand in her way now.

TURMERIC AND BITTERNESS
Pyske will hold a grudge until the end of time. Push her too far, piss her off in just the right way, and she will make you pay for it. It might not be today or tomorrow or even right in the moment. But she will get her revenge and it will be burn right to the bone. She has a particular hatred for people who refuse to help themselves. Your misfortune is your own and not mean to burden others. You dug your grave now climb out on your own.

Relationships

Ymizheriv Feyr: Her employer and perhaps the closet thing she could call a friend in Zantaric. She takes great pleasure in pushing at his buttons, trying to touch his ears, and skirting away from the consequences of her actions. It's almost like she's a glutton for punishment or something.

Jabbar and Najib: Twin male servals that Pyske won off a man in a drinking contest. They're now her "babies" and she loves her two furchildren so much. They are very spoiled boys and incredibly territorial when it comes to their space, their food, or their mama. The cats are known for catching birds and releasing them in the tavern half-dead, getting food aggressive with meat they find in the kitchen (they are banned from there but accidents happen), yowling and rattling closed doors particularly at 4 or 5 in the morning, and just being a general nuisance. Most of the time though they keep hidden when the tavern is busy and help assist with the local rat problem. Every night though they are curled up in Pyske's bed without fail.

History

Pyske was born the seventh daughter of a poor Essyrni farmer couple. With many mouths to feed and many daughters to marry off, things were a bit tough for the family. Having a blind daughter on top of it only served to make things tougher. She grew up well-loved and perhaps a bit more spoiled than the rest of her siblings, despite them all being doted upon.

Times were very difficult though and her family was often at odds with the seedier tpes of people who would lend money only to exact even heavier prices for its return. When she came of age, instead of trying to marry Pyske off and deal with a dowry they went into talks of selling her off as a concubine in repayment for a heavy sum of debt. Pyske wanted none of it. She felt no obligation to her family that had in her eyes failed to provide her with the absolute best in life that she felt she deserved.

Using her good lucks and feminine wiles she was able to run away from her family and so-called "duty" to them. In time she made her way to Zantaric and its den of thieves. Growing up around some of the Essyrni underbelly was a start but did not completely prepare her for her new lot at lie. She changed her name and bounced from job to job until she settled in. It was amazing how much a blind woman could be underestimated.

Eventually she found herself working as a barmaid at the Drowned Princess and developed a friendship of sorts with the owner. She's made a name for herself among the Regulars as a friendly and sweet, perhaps even harmless woman who keeps the drinks flowing and will put your mind at ease.
