Her hollering was annoying at best, despite it being his own doing. So she at least had one weakness. He didn't quite count making a girl deaf a victory, though, and it was hardly any fun when it took so much effort on his own part.
There was a small little sliver of prideful happiness that weaseled its way into his heart to hear how impressed she was. Her genuine, appreciative awe was not something he'd heard very often before. She was like a child seeing something amazing for the first time.
Tilting his head, he finally released the fire to shoot off to into a nearby building. The town was relatively clear now, its residents huddled and wailing their dismay from a safe distance to watch their homes burn. The dragon was puzzled by this strange human, though, and quite irritated that she was evading all of his attempts at toying with her.
In a split second decision he lunged forward yet again to bite at her belly, the soft and vulnerable spot something he was quite used to being able to break through. Meeting her armor yet again, though, and finding no resistance in it Xibalba gave a growl of frustration. 'You will be sorry when I break this,' he hissed in warning.
