Tiraris cried out in pain as the wind was knocked from her lungs and she was thrown to the ground her back. She gasped for air like a fish out of water as she made an attempt to bring her blade up clumsily in her defense. The rage of this man was like that of a wild beast. The assassin wanted nothing to do with it and resolved that the fastest way to bring him down would be to trick him into moving out of her way so that she could behead the demon he protected and then be on her way. She suspected she would be able to outrun him once given the chance to complete her assigned task. First order of business though would be to breathe and then from there to get on her feet again.

Drin's response to the blade was about as elegant as could be expected from somebody in his state. The juggernaut shifted his weight, swung his arm to block it with his spiked gauntlets, and launched himself forward, right shoulder first. Worse, his mouth opened and heat rose up from the back of his throat, as if he were preparing to spit fire.... though nothing came out. Drin's savage and triumphant bellow turned to a curse as he realized he was completely out of fire.

Grunting, she backed away as the assailant pressed forward with his own attack. He was erratic, apparently trying to rely on his strength and brute force to take his smaller opponent out. Tiraris respected that but also knew that to counter it she needed to maintain her speed. Only with quick and sure counter-attacks would she have a chance at overpowering him and gaining the upper hand.

His cursing brought a smile to the corner of her mouth. "What is the matter? Someone forget to tend to the coals little dragon?" The assassin braced herself, waiting for his next attack so that she might spring in an attempt to dodge him.
