Physical Description

Kesrel is tall and broad-shouldered with somewhat disportionate and gangly limbs as he is still growing. It is not uncommon for him to trip over his own feet in a particular hurry if he is not paying attention to what he is doing. His form is quite muscular though and while he is not necessarily packing on all the weight he monstrously consumes, he definitely looks like he will be growing up to be a big, brawny man. He has dark copper skin and short, thick black hair that tends to always be a bit mussed from him running a distracted hand through his hair. Kesrel also has cornflower blue-purple eyes.

Personality

THE TORTOISE
Kesrel is a very kind soul. He is gentle, endlessly patient, and generous to a fault. He will give you all the time in the world to complete a simple task simply because you needed it. He's the first to offer a hand in help and the first to offer a kind word. He takes his duties as a soldier seriously and believes that even off-duty he has a responsibility to help and care for others. As such, he likes to spend a great deal of his time with children, teaching or playing with them.

THE OTTER
Another reason that Kesrel gets along with children so much is that he still maintains a pure and childlike soul. His inner child still lives mightily within him and outside of work demands time to play and to laugh and to have fun. It is not unlike him to bounce at his friends and try to drag them into his antics if only to enjoy the freedom of being full of sunshine and joy. The world is his playground and he isn't likely to let go of that any time soon.

THE EGRET
He is also a very determined and self-reliant individual. Kesrel knows that he will never be quite as smart or wise as his peers but he is nonetheless earnest and hardworking in his pursuit to learn, grow, and succeed. He is very at peace and calm in most situations and is near impossible to fluster in a time of crisis. (Love interests is a completely different story though).

THE EARTHWORM
Finally, Kesrel is a very salt of the earth, grounded young man. He's a nurturer, a protector, and a natureboy. He loves to be outside and getting lost in the world around him. He will stand by his friends through thick and thin. He trusts easily and gives selflessly. His sweet nature does get him in trouble but good friends and good company help keep him out of true harm's way.

• Favorite hobby is fishing. He will take every moment of his freetime to find a nice cool creek to sit and relax. He has even been known to wander for miles just to find the perfect spot.

• Loves to run out barefoot in the rain to feel the earth squish between his toes.

Warrior: He is a trained soldier if still a bit wet behind the ears. His strengths lie in close combat though where he can use his size and strength to overpower his foe. He is absolutely rubbish at archery, but does is very adept with slingshots.

Three little sisters: He was always protective of them and he loves them dearly even if sometimes they were royal pains in the butt.

The Greenclaws: The group of young soldiers that he belongs to. They are his brothers and sisters in arms and he is proud to serve and play alongside them. He has the utmost respect and trust for each and every single one of them.

• Arami: Kesrel thinks they are simply amazing. He respects and greatly admires their willpower when put to task. He does have a tendency to blunder right into an opportunity for them to shoot off some witty remark. The light that flashes in their eyes like the sun off rainbow fish scales is one of his favorite sights.
• Daxten: He is like an older brother and Kesrel takes comfort in his efforts to help Kesrel as the youngest of the Greenclaws, succeed. He greatly enjoys his humor and can be heard laughing often and loudly when Dax is close.
• Jayniton: She was a hotheaded partner in crime to Kesrel's love of rain and mud. The pair had woken each other up many a time to go run out into an early morning rainshower simply because they could. DECEASED.
• Lynn: He was a mischief maker that loved to prank Kesrel who was always an easy target. Kes woke up many mornings with critters in his sleeping roll or to his belongings tucked into hard to reach places. Kesrel always swore he would pay him back for it but never did. DECEASED.
• Marippi: She was like a big sister to Kesrel, small but mighty and with a massive heart. He was especially close to her and she taught him a great deal. Her patience was a gift that he was always grateful for and her death weighs heavy on his heart. DECEASED.
• Mataren: He was a quiet sort that Kesrel was always in awe of. Kes loved to watch him write and found the scratch of feather on parchment a comforting sound. DECEASED.
• Sansirshi: They were a fierce and stern soldier that Kesrel though a bit intimidated by, had the utmost respect for. Their death was a massive shock to Kesrel. He did not think it possible for Sansirshi to ever be beaten. DECEASED
• Sincuvo: Kesrel enjoys his quieter nature and off-kilter statements that make him stop and ponder the meaning of. Kes doesn't always understand but that doesn't stop him from trying to. He thinks that Sincuvo is very wise and takes what he says deeply to heart. He has learned not to hug Sincuvo though. Free things should be kept free after all.

History

He grew up happy and loved in a good family on the riverbanks of Adela. When he was old enough he went on to Ketra to serve his country as his brothers had done before him.
