Playlist: Warning May Contain Explicit or Mature Lyrics and Themes __________________IN-DEPTH STUFFPhysical DescriptionFrom the very tips of her antlers to the bottoms of her flowerpot shoes, Ling is perfection incarnate. Not a hair out of place or a blemish to mar her skin. She has a perfect oval face with full cheeks, upturned, lavender eyes, and pouty cherry-blossom lips. Her skin tone is warm and flawless with long, sleek, and shiny black hair usually done up in elaborate hairstyles to match. Ling is literally the standard of Sheng-gu beauty and the face of the nation. She cannot afford to be less than perfect at any hour of the day.
Her clothes are always elaborate and multi-layered, each piece more beautiful than the previous. Her color palette usually consists of spring colors such as cheery pinks, sage greens, and soft purples usually with gold thread embroidery and jewelry.
Ling's antlers are also a point of pride for her. They are often painstakingly painted and adorned with metal rings, fresh flowers, gossamer trailing strips of fabric, dangling bits of gems or tiny tinkling bells. Her off-season antlers are equally as beautiful and sometimes even carved with intricate designs in them. One pair even depicted a scene from a famous Sheng-gu-ren poem.

PersonalityLing comes off as a very sweet, calm, and reserved, almost shy woman. She is however deceptively intelligent and an ultimate strategist. Her every move, her every action, and her every word is heavily calculated. There is nothing that she does without intention. Like any successful woman of the Imperial City, she plays the game of chess in order to further her own success and survival.
As mild-mannered as she seems, Ling will easily bide her time to maneuver her prey into trapping themselves and is much more a puppet master than the puppet she is meant to be. She has already lost many brothers in the battle for the throne, although she will never admit how much she was involved in their rise or fall. No one knows better than her the risk of openly supporting anyone and that even her own role as the face of the nation is tenuous at best.
Among the many things she would never admit is that she is actually a rather lonely and sad woman given that her only friend in the world lives most of the time on the other end of the continent. She is deeply afraid to marry, knowing that all of her puppet mastery will be for nothing when she loses control of her life to another and will be stuck at the mercy of another man's ambition.
Things- Never uses incense, perfumes, or scented balms, only fresh flowers for fragrance.
- Supposedly is as knowledgeable in teas and tea reading as she is in poisons.
- Has outrun the Crown Prince of Gushui while wearing her flowerpot shoes...more than once...no she did not cheat, Jian...or use witchcraft.
- Quite partial to blue forget-me-nots and vibrant plum blossoms although she would never admit it.
- Is quite possibly more highly educated that some of her brothers currently vying for the throne.
Magic/AbilitiesShe's a witch? ;)
RelationshipsHis Imperial Majesty, Emperor of the World, Lord of Countless Years: Her father. He dotes on her when he remembers her and Ling does her best to stay out of his line of sight. Absence makes the heart grow fonder...
Countless Princes and Princesses: Ling has varying reserved relationships with her siblings. She makes sure to never openly support or oppose her brothers in case their own political games to succeed their father results in backsplash on her and her removal as First Princess. Equally she understands that her sisters are just as vicious if not worse in their schemes and that they are equally not to be trusted.
Tsai Jianjun: Crown Prince of Gushui and her only childhood friend. Their relationship is not only seen as rather unconventional but even inappropriate to some. Ling would never admit to how deep their bond is or how much she truly treasures him, even to him. He is the only person she dares to trust and even then she always plays her cards close to her lavender heart.
HistoryWhat's there to say about a woman born into the Imperial family of the greatest empire of the world? It's not like she's ever known hardship or loss... >>
