Twice Cursed [Goblin] [M]

[Juno]

Conrey just stared in surprise as he approached her, a look of disbelief clouding him thinking she was pulling his leg about this. "A...mouse? Yasmine a mouse is so harmless. Leave the poor thing alone," he pleaded, offering her a hand. "Get down from there."

[GoblinFae]

"IT CARRIES PLAGUE AND POISON AND DEATH! KILL IT!" she screeched while shrinking away from his hand and nearly causing the table to dump her in turn. "I'm not coming down until it is disposed of!" Yasmine started to hyperventilate at the very thought of it coming any where near her. "A MOUSE INFESTATION!" she bemoaned aloud, covering her face with her hands in horror.

[Juno]

Conrey rolled his eyes and searched the immediate area to find...nothing. He set the cat down, shooing her and hoping that her instincts would hunt the mouse down for him instead. "Well it's not here right now, you probably scared it away," he told her with a confident nod. "Now get down before you hurt yourself." It wasn't really a question as he reached up to bodily lift her by her waist.

[GoblinFae]

 Yasmine squealed and instinctively clung to Conrey as he moved her. Yet when he moved to put her down, she refused to let go, still fearful of the unaccounted for mouse. "It's still here," she cried. "Don't let it get me," she continued to beg. Seconds later Duchess gave off a shriek and flung something across the hall before limping off to hide in the broken vase.

"My baby!" Yasmine cried, now scrambling to get down and get to her kitten, no longer caring about the mouse in the face of her dearest companion's care.

[Juno]

He was stunned that she was so fearful of such a tiny creature. "She's fine," he insisted, having no idea but rolling his eyes at the way she was reacting to it all. "Surely no vampire's ever died of a mouse. And I would hope no cat either... You sure you want to stay here?" he wondered, trying to resist laughing at the whole ordeal.

[GoblinFae]

"I didn't even want to be here in the first place," she griped angrily while picking up the kitten from the mess. In a flash though, Duchess was thrust at Conrey's chest and Yasmine was darting down the hall, using her full vampire speed to race away.

"Keep her away from me," she called to him, her voice sounding extremely strained. "Her paw is cut," she furthered informed him weakly. "Told you the mouse would hurt her!"

[Juno]

"I'm sorry," he called after her, taking the kitten and thinking her dramatic still and rolling his eyes as he pet Duchess with a soothing hand. "Poor Duchess, your owner is so crazy," he baby talked to the kitten, the moment one of the few normal ones he'd had all day. He took Duchess downstairs, rummaging around all the closets but not finding any suitable bandaging. He finally just opened up his bag and ripped a strip of cloth from one of his shirts to treat the kitten with, tying it in a nice bow around her injured paw.

While Conrey tended to her precious kitten, Yasmine had found the master bedroom in his wing and had curled up in the middle of it, uncaring of the clouds of dust that had shot up the moment she had flopped on it as she wallowed in her guilt and self-pity. Tears threaten to slide down her face but she stubbornly continued to fight them, not daring to given for fear she would never stop. Nothing was working right for her in her opinion. She had been made into a monster, forced out of her home, torn away from her former life, made to live in a filthy, rat-infested pit, and now could not even seek the comfort of her only distraction life as it was injured and her own affliction meant she was now a danger to Duchess.

"Could it get any worse?" she groaned into her hands moments before the mattress sank through the rotted bed frame and she was pinned in the center.

[Juno]

He set the kitten free to wander the house of her own free will and bid the footman his goodbyes and thanks for his assistance. He was a bit suspicious of not hearing any more of Yasmine's antics yet, though, and was climbing the stairs again when he heard a dull crashing. He sighed in disbelief, not thinking he'd ever met anyone as destructive as this girl in his entire life. "Yasmine?" he called to her. "What's going on?"

Yasmine struggled to free herself of the bed but it was no use. The more she fought it, the more the mattress sank down, further trapping her in its grasp. Conrey's voice brought her both relief and dread. For several moments, she contemplated not answering but her futile efforts to free herself finally won.

"I'm stuck!" she called back, sounding quite muffled. "Your bed ate me!"

[Juno]

"The blame to me, I see," he called, chuckling as he followed her voice and cautiously entered the darkened room and seeing the mess of the bed with her sunken into it. "Well...I suppose I'll be using a different room." He offered her a hand to help her climb out as he studied the bed, having no idea what she'd done to break it. "You don't look that heavy," he muttered to himself.

[GoblinFae]

"Be grateful it wasn't you," she replied with a smile once he had freed her. "You can stay in my bed though. I think I'll just explore some more tonight." Yasmine feared admitting how terrified she was of the dark, especially at night when nightmares plagued her nonstop. "If I can find the library then I'll be sure to be stuck in a good book. We'd be wasting space to have me taking up a bed I had no intention of getting any actual sleep in."

[Juno]

"This whole place is a waste of space," he complained, gesturing at how big this room was alone. "And don't kid yourself, you'll need your sleep. I'm sure there's more than two bedrooms in this entire house. It's been a long day for you, you really should rest.... You wouldn't have been in here on the bed if you weren't at least a little tired," he guessed.

[GoblinFae]

"It wasn't exhaustion but I need to protect Duchess that drove me in here. I'm fine really. Have a good night Mister Shaw,"  Yasmine bid him, as she tried to make her way back out the door and downstairs to explore the old house further.

[Juno]

"Good...night," he shrugged, following her out and returning to his wanderings before selecting the smallest of the bedrooms. He stripped the bed of its dusty sheets and instead curled up on the bare, thin mattress after kicking off his shoes and stripping himself of his own clothes that rested in a pile on the floor. A restful night of sleep, he felt, was well deserved for the long, strange day he'd had.

[GoblinFae]

Yasmine wandered down the stairs, exploring through the night with her little Duchess prancing around behind her. By the time that morning's light began to crest through the trees she had already discovered the dining room, kitchen, and living room on the floor to the left of the staircase. On the right of the staircase she had only managed to get as far as the massive library before curling up amongst the shelves and delving into a book while trying to fight away the sleep tugging at her tired eyes.

[Juno]

He awoke in a fit of sneezes, the dust still being a bit too much for him. His eyes red with irritation the werewolf rose and dragged the sheets about the room, deliriously knocking anything dusty into them before tying it all up in a bundle and tossing it all out into the hall with a roar of pain and frustration. Running about the house in a fit he opened every window and door he could find and set about to cleaning the place room by room.

When he reached the library seeing Yasmine curled up did not give him even a moment's pause as he rushed around, dusting the shelves with a disgusted look on his face.

She had but a moment to take in the scowling cloud of dust that was Conrey before his actions sent her and Duchess both into a fit of sneezing and hacking. "Mister Shaw!" Yasmine wheezed, her eyes running now with an onslaught of tears. "What do you think you're doing!"

[Juno]

"Cleaning!" he barked, growling as he wiped the dust and grime from the room. "This place is filthy. Disgusting! I don't know about you, but I can live in this dust storm no longer," he complained, his eyes watery with irritation and his nose causing nearly constant sniffles as he shook his head in discomfort. Still, a determined man, he flew across the room leaving a path of slightly-more-clean in his wake.

As Yasmine continued to stare at him bleary-eyed a sudden realization set in. "MISTER SHAW!" she screeched whipping around and covering her eyes as well as those of Duchess. "This is highly inappropriate! Cleaning is no excuse! You're naked!"
