Physical Description

Incana is a striking beauty. She is tall but wiry and lean in stature with an underlying strength and command of herself that could be easily underestimated. Her hair is completely shaved on the left side with her thick black locks falling to shoulder length on the right side. She never allows her hair to get any longer than this and routinely cuts it for cultural reasons.

Incana has a diamond-shaped face with pronounced, round cheekbones, a pointed chin, and a squat nose. Her eyes are a deep, deep brown always full of mischief set in a toffee-colored face. Her face is also decorated with a horizontal black tattoo across the bridge of her nose and across both cheeks as well as vertical tattoo from the middle of her bottom lip all the way to the bottom of her chin.

When out of uniform, Incana prefers to wear light colored, loose blouses, paired with loose pants, and thick-soled boots. She does enjoy the vibrancy and variety of clothes in Ketra that comes from Serenian influence. However, she wants absolutely nothing to do with skirts and dresses and other "girly" things.

Both her ears lobes are pierced. Her most common earrings are an asymmetrical bone stud and owl feather dangle set that her mother made for her. She also wears a charm about her neck that she never removes, not even to sleep. She is highly protective of it too and becomes quickly agitated when separated from it.

Personality

WILDFIRE
She is a passionate individual in all aspects of her life although that same fire has gotten her into spots of trouble as much as it has driven her onwards. She is a hard-working, determined challenger to anyone that dares to go up against her. She possesses confidence and courage in spades, making her a valuable soldier. Incana is fierce in both her loyalty and her wrath. She has been known to be a bit unpredictable or bend the rules slightly if it means doing what she feels is right.

FLASHFIRE
However, she is also impatient, impulsive, and can become highly aggressive when pushed too far. She does not always think before she acts, preferring to follow her heart at times and her own moral compass rather than always consider the repercussions of her actions. It takes a great deal to make her angry but once the wick has been lit, look out. She will suffer no one fools. Incana likewise holds everyone to the same high standards as she holds herself accountable. She believes others should do their best and failure to do so is a great disappointment.

BONFIRE
Incana is also loud and proud. She is by no means shy and gives as good as she gets. She loves the feeling of being in a crowd, although not necessarily at its center. She tends to be happiest when she is with her friends and fellow riders, whether it is in the field or the local pub. Incana is a charismatic woman with witty and bawdy tongue. She is by no means a lady and she'll make sure you know it if you dare say otherwise.

Things

• Suffers from a serious case of wanderlust. Always wants to GO GO GO!
• Keeps a white ashwood mask shaped like a barn owl face wrapped and tucked away in her barracks. She doesn't talk about it but when pressed will say with the most serious of expressions that it's her death mask.
• Really good at imitating birdsong and singing back with them.
• Foresaw her death hazily as standing in a giant field as everything around her burned and consumed her in smoke and flame. She still has nightmares about it regularly.

Magic/Abilities

Beastspeaker: Incana is able to converse with animals and guide them to do her bidding. She was training to be one of her tribe's Wingmasters when she left to train as a dragonrider.

Arthazel: Incana's dragon companion who has kept close to her for many years even before she became a dragonrider. The two are very close and love each other like family.

History

Incana was born a restless soul. From the moment she could walk she wanted to run and from there she was unstoppable. She often would get in trouble as a child for wandering off where she could not be found or where she was not permitted to go. She was known as the child with mischief in her veins.

It was a bit of a relief therefore for her parents when a young dragon took her underwing. Wherever Incana went, it seemed Arthazel was never far behind. The pair quickly became inseparable and known for their wandering. Incana grew up quickly and strong. She was training to be a Wingmaster of her tribe, a great honor among her people. But, her heart belonged to the wind and she always felt the call to soar rather than stay.

She left for Ketra with her family's blessing, Arthazel on her heels. Incana wanted to become a dragonrider. There were many trials both in getting there and in becoming a trainee but she succeeded in the tasks set to her. It was a great honor to even try. It is an even greater one to be a dragonrider now.
