Ninja Flamingos 2018 Theme Draw - VIDEO GAMES!

This is for the 2018 Ninja Flamingos Theme Draw. Members who join are asked to draw a representation of their selected user based on our chosen theme in a way that is similar to secret santa. For anyone interested in joining our biannual event please message GoblinFae who can get you up to speed with how the event works and to answer any of your burning questions.

This specific thread is for brainstorming all of our ideas for potential themes that we will choose before the event begins. We aren't narrowing down ideas right now, so feel free to throw out whatever comes to your mind. However, there are a few simple rules as follows:

     1. First and foremost, have fun!
     2. Don't knock other people's ideas down, please.*
     3. Feel free to second other people's ideas!
     4. Try to think of themes that would be easy to do... nothing too specific.
     5. Last but not least (and I doubt this will be a problem), remember that these drawings will be child appropriate! So keep the ideas appropriate!

*If you have a reason that you believe someone's ideas is absolutely horrible and would never work, message GoblinFae. Don't write it in here. We want this to be a friendly, non-judgmental sharing area.

*NEW* Our theme this year is Video Games! We'll be drawing our Flamingos in the style of video games. So this can either be your own original creation or having them as a video game character that they or their username reminds you of. This event will also run the full month of July with the BIG REVEAL at the first of August.

It's that time of year again! We're gearing up for our bi-annual art exchange known as Ninja Flamingos!!! All are welcome to join just please let me (Goblin Fae) know before June 30th. The event runs the entire month of July with the big reveal at the end of that month.

Members who joined are asked to draw a representation of their selected user based on username and personality in the voted upon theme. This year that theme is VIDEO GAMES. Members will be drawn either as original video game characters or in ones that remind you of them. *NOTE: Please keep all drawings PG-13 and within the restrictions of site rules

Users are picked via a random generator I use so that it's kept secret for all until the big reveal day (not even I know who you get). ALL art skill levels welcome (don't worry I'm the worst so have no fear!)

This is a great event to get to know new members and old if you haven't met them yet so please feel free to jump on in. Questions, comments, concerns, or interest just send me a DM and I'll add you to the list and keep you up to date with more info!!!

So one of you brought up a good point! To help each other out we're going to list a few video games we really like so that our Ninjas get a bit more help with choosing some stuffs on what and how to draw their flamingos.

So Ninja of mine my top faves to play again and again are:

• Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time
• Portal 1 and 2
• The Wolf Among Us

I love story-based puzzle games with lots of adventure and fantasy elements. I do enjoy watching a lot of sci-fi and horror games though I haven't played any myself really. The Dead Space series as well as Resident Evil are DEFINITELY on my list though of things to play.

Fallout (my favorite story is 2 but aesthetically Vegas is my fave)

Final Fantasy 6 (it really is the best one)

I'm really into fantasy RPGs especially JRPGs. The above 5 are my favorite games of all time and the few that I have played through more than once. I also play a great deal of sci-fi games, and survival horror games.

...I don't actually play video games. I know it's weird, but I really don't. I think the last one I played was one of the newer pokemon games, but that was years ago. Sorry I can't be more help >_>

That said, here's a list of games I've been playing recently and enjoy;

I love how many people besides me appreciate the joy and rapture that is Fallout New Vegas. I approve, and I approve mightily.

So, surprise, my all time favorite is New Vegas. I do like the Fallout universe in general and also the Elder Scrolls games, but New Vegas is the creme de la creme. Otherwise I do like Dead Space, and World of Warcraft holds a special place in my undead little heart (I will follow Sylvanas straight into hell, thank you very much).

I like RPGs, pretty much first and foremost forever.

My fave games of all time aaaare~

1.) The Last of Us
2.) Life is Strange
3.) Final Fantasy 9 (and basically any of the Final Fantasy games! But 9 is my ultimate fave of them. 8D)
4.) Okami
5.) Overwatch
6.) the Ace Attorney series
7.) The Evil Within
8.) the Tales series (Tales of the Abyss, for example! <3)
9.) Resident Evil 2 (aka the game that gives Rhi nightmares.)

Basically, I like RPGs and survival horror games and games that will rip out my heart. 8D

I also enjoy Fallout and Skyrim! The only reason they didn't populate that list is because I haven't actually gotten far in any of them because I have this tendency to get so overwhelmed by the atmosphere and freedom that I just...end up wandering around goofing off and shit for 30 hours and to this day I haven't completed any of the main quests. |: Ask me about how I got 25+ hours into Skyrim without seeing a fucking dragon and was super confused about why I had all these Shouts I couldn't use and had seen no dragons when everyone was talking about how scary the dragons are.

...|: It was because I hadn't killed the first dragon. I skipped it. I went and goofed off and did my own thing. Then I finally killed the dragon and NOW THE SUCKERS ARE EVERYWHERE.

...ahem.

So yeah. 8D
