Before we begin...

Was poking about and figured this was the easiest way to perhaps get some information. First, hi! I'm some guy who's been doing this PBP RP thing for...awhile. After bouncing around doing some Sci-fi type stuff, my friend (who I've been writing with for almost a decade) and I are looking for a fantasy game to rekindle some old characters and start a few new ones. I am interested in a couple of things before I start the usually long process of working up a character/adapting an existing one.

Mainly, I'm wondering if there's an IRC channel/Google Hangout/other way folks around here interact. Most of what I need to know is best learned through chatting with folks and besides, talking with other...um...people with the same inclinations is fun, right?

Welcome to SOTE, Big M! Glad you decided to join and I hope this forum is what you've been searching for as we're a very open and welcoming community of writers with a fairly open and creative world. Rpers exsist here in all levels, and places to ask questions would be either in the c-box (chat box located on the main forum page, at the very bottom) or to post them here.

The Never King- a king erased from history because of his dabblings in dark magic (among other things...) suddenly because a present day problem when an unlikely group of adventurers 'awakens' him from the grave. You can read more about the event on the plotting page here and information page here!

I ran the Connlaothian civil war. For more info, check out it's page here. The war has now turned into a 'Cold War' with it's plotting page found here. It's no longer a huge site wide event but the scars are there.

Well, I kinda did look there, the question I'm asking had been marked as answered (in 2008) but it, well, wasn't :).

We're a relaxed community here, full of friendly members. But if you have any trouble don't be afraid to contact one of the mods or admins.

Also, if you're interested, SotE has a sister site that's named Remnants of the Earth, which is a sci-fi fantasy. It's slower than here, but it still has some activity!

Sorry I'm late on the greetings...took that wrong turn at Albuquerque and well you know how it is! As Spice said, don't hesitate to ask questions.
